It wasn’t long ago that Woodlan coach John Baker was a new face in Allen County Athletic Conference boys basketball. Eight years since joining the Warriors, he finds himself as the longest tenured coach in the conference entering the 2025-26 season.

Baker leads the defending conference champions into a season of ACAC boys' basketball that features four teams in either their first or second year under a new coach.

“We have several just quality coaches, guys that are looking to either build strong programs or kind of set the stage for what they’re looking to do with their program,” Baker said. “It’s a good conference. I think basketball matters to the schools that are in this conference.”
