Cedric Mullins is headed back to the AL East.
The 31-year-old outfielder agreed to a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
The Athletic‘s Ken Rosenthal reported that the deal is worth $7 million.
Mullins split the 2025 season between the Baltimore Orioles and New York Mets, slashing .216/.299/.391 with 17 home runs and 22 stolen bases.
The one-time all-star had spent the previous seven seasons with the Orioles, debuting with the club in 2018 after being selected in the 13th round of the 2015 draft.
After struggling through his first three big-league seasons, Mullins broke out in 2021, posting an .878 OPS while hitting 30 homers and stealing 30 bags. He finished ninth in MVP voting and won an outfield Silver Slugger awa
