Oklahoma City police say that a 6-year-old boy has died after being struck by a school bus.
The Oklahoma City Police Department reports that the incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Southwest 51st Street and Douglas Avenue.
According to OKCPD, the bus was driving east on Southwest 51st Street. Three children got off the bus, and as the bus was turning south onto South Douglas Avenue, one student, a 6-year-old boy, ran in front of the bus where he was struck.
The child was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.
Fault will be determined as part of the investigation, which is ongoing, OKCPD said.
