HIGH POINT, N.C. — On Wednesday, Guilford County officials broke ground on Allen Jay Elementary School in High Point.

Community members, staff, and local leaders came together to celebrate the major milestone.

Officials hope to have the school ready by the 2027 school season. They say permits and design clarifications are in the works now.

The groundbreaking marks the start of full construction activities.
