HONOLULU (Island News) – A 60-year-old man was indicted for the alleged assault of a Honolulu Police Officer that happened on Thursday, November 27, just ten days after he was released on his own recognizance in a felony drug case, according to the Honolulu Prosecutor.
Tommy Chiles was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer by biting and kicking them multiple times on Thursday morning while police officers were responding to an incident in the area of Kalakaua and Ohua Ave.

Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree is a Class C felony. If convicted, Chiles faces up to five years in prison.
