EAST LANSING — Kelvin Torbert accomplished plenty during his days playing basketball in the early 2000s.
From being a Flint high school legend as an All-American and Mr. Basketball winner at Flint Northwestern to being a key player on a Final Four team at Michigan State and then playing overseas professionally, Torbert made a big impact in the game.
And because of that success, Torbert knows he added some extra pressure when he gave his son his name.
But Kelvin Torbert Jr. (KJ) has handled the pressure well and is making his own mark in the sport.
