A man is in serious condition after he was stabbed in the neck Wednesday afternoon during a road rage incident that involved a collision, according to Seattle police.
The stabbing at Seventh Avenue and Madison Street was reported shortly before 3 p.m. A 44-year-old woman was arrested, said police spokesperson Detective Eric Muñoz.
Muñoz said the incident began on Interstate 5 until the drivers reached the intersection, when the woman stepped out of her vehicle to give the other driver a “talking to.” During the ensuing argument, the 51-year-old man called her derogatory names, Muñoz said.
The woman retreated to her vehicle, and when the man approached her driver’s side window she allegedly thrust a multitool blade into his neck, Muñoz said.
