FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. —
No. 6 Louisville was 7-0 heading into Wednesday night's matchup against No. 25 Arkansas, but that perfect record would fade away over the course of 40 minutes.
The Cardinals quickly went down 6-0 at the start of the game and Arkansas would not cede the lead to Louisville. Arkansas was up 41-22 with less than four minutes remaining in the half, but Louisville would break a four-minute scoring drought shortly after.
Arkansas held a commanding 47-29 lead at the half.
Louisville found some life in the second half, slowly chipping away at the Razorbacks' lead, which was 20 at one point. The Cards pulled within five as eight minutes remained in the game, but Arkansas kept putting more points on the board.
