The UK's best restaurant has been named in the latest edition of the Harden's guide. The North West has been confirmed as one of the nation's most exciting dining regions, securing both first and second place in the newly released Top 100 Best UK Restaurants 2026 list.

Moor Hall in Aughton , run by chef-patron Mark Birchall , has been voted the best restaurant in the UK. The restaurant climbs dramatically from last year’s No. 74 ranking, with diners praising it as "not just a meal, it’s an experience" that is "superb from beginning to end".

Diners consistently described the food as "faultless in every way" and "pitch perfect". Moor Hall opened in 2017 and received its first two Michelin stars in 2018 and 2019.
