CJ Campbell’s time at Rutgers is over after one season.
The running back is entering the transfer portal after one season with the Scarlet Knights , a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday.
Campbell is the first Rutgers player to share his intention of entering the transfer portal, which officially opens on January 2, this offseason.
Campbell arrived in Piscataway this offseason from FAU, where he had a productive season as a junior. He racked up 844 yards and 11 touchdowns on 165 carries on the ground to go along with 466 yards and three touchdowns on 40 receptions through the air, adding up to 1,310 all-purpose yards on 205 touches (6.4 yards per touch) in his only season with the Owls.
