ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KALB) - UPDATE: St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office announced there was a third inmate who escaped from St. Landry Parish Jail on December 3.

According to SLPSO, the third escapee is Joseph Harrington, 26, of Melville, who had been charged with:

Home invasion

Aggravated burglary

Aggravated assault with a firearm

Illegal discharge by convicted felon

Resisting an officer/aggravated flight

Theft of a firearm

Criminal damage to property

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Simple burglary

Cruelty to juveniles

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office had initially reported an ongoing search for two escaped inmates on December 3:

Keith Eli, 24, of Opelousas, who had been charged with:

Attempted 2nd Degree Murder

Johnathan Joseph, 24, of Opelousas, who had
