ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Hundreds of families across metro Atlanta will now have access to weeks’ worth of groceries, all thanks to a Tuesday donation drive.

As part of our “Together We Care” initiative, Atlanta News First partnered with HOSEA Helps on Giving Tuesday for the all-day donation drive.

The drive raised $19,000, which will be used to provide two weeks of groceries to 316 metro Atlanta families.

Along with the monetary donations, 400 pounds of food and 896 toys were collected.

The “Together We Care” initiative aims to show the importance of showing up for the community across metro Atlanta.
