STOCKTON, Calif. —
A pedestrian was hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle on a busy Stockton roadway on Wednesday, according to the police department. Officials said the pedestrian is believed to be a teenager.
Officers responded to the report of a pedestrian struck at East Hammer Lane and Tam O'Shanter Drive around 2:30 p.m.
Officials said the male pedestrian was taken to an area hospital, and his condition is unknown.
Stockton police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
East Hammer Lane is shut down between Lan Ark Drive and West Lane as officers investigate the collision.
