MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - Some animal shelters in Middle Tennessee are teaming up to find homes for animals this holiday season.
Maury County Animal Services (MCAS) said they are teaming up with Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC), Cheatham County Animal Control (CCAC), and Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC) in Nashville for “Operation Silent Night.”
The goal of the operation is to find a home for every animal across each of the shelters a home for the holiday.
As an incentive for adoption, each agency is reducing adoption fees to $25 for all of December with an approved application. The shelters are also hoping to find some short term fosters for some animals as well.
MCAS said a foster was found for every animal last year, and they are hoping for a repeat this Christmas.
