For most of Wednesday’s boys basketball bout between Onondaga and Sandy Creek, Tigers forward Jadon Buchanan did not need to be much of a factor on offense.
However, when called upon with the game on the line, Buchanan delivered in the biggest of ways.
With Onondaga down by one and the clock winding down, the junior drained his first career 3-pointer to give the Tigers a 63-61 victory over the Comets.

Buchanan, a player deemed the “strongest player on the court” by Onondaga coach Jesse Crawford-Behm, is known for his presence on the interior. Despite this, he did not hesitate with the ball in his hands behind the arc.
