A major outage has left thousands of people across the UK unable to access X, formally known as Twitter . According to Downdetector , a website that monitors service disruptions, there have been 9,268 reports of issues, with a sudden spike occurring around 8:30pm this evening.
Most users appear to be experiencing problems with the app, which accounts for 60 per cent of reports. Meanwhile, 36 per cent of users say they are having trouble with the website, and just 6 per cent have reported server connection issues.
The site blackout seems to be fairly evenly distributed across the UK with most cases peaking in England, in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Although X owner Elon Musk is yet to make a comment regarding the blackout on the social
