MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - One of Madison’s beloved holiday traditions returned this week, and is now bigger than ever.

Giant inflatable Santas have appeared on dozens of Monroe St. front lawns sine 2023, but this year, they also extend to Nakoma Rd.

For the last two years, more Monroe St. residents and businesses have joined the festive display. This year marks the first time the Santas have significantly spread further around the neighborhood.

“The sheer volume of Santas, it just brings so much joy, so we were like well, Nakoma’s kind of close to Monroe, we should extend that down,” said Teddy Link, a Nakoma Road resident. “We’ve been sending a couple messages to neighbors trying to get them to join in.”

Link said the display serves commuters and families throughout the day.
