Central-Phenix City coach Mitchell Holt admits it may take him a little while to take in the run his flag football team has been on over the last few years.

But, he takes an important approach to appreciating all of the memories.

“Instead of focusing on what you don’t have and what doesn’t go your way in life, in those times, I tend to turn to what goes our way and the blessings that we have,” the coach said, surrounded by his players. “Then, you’ll find what you’re looking for.”

“If you go down the road looking for purple cars, you’re going to find purple cars. If you’re looking for positivity and good in people, you’re going to find positivity and good in people. When we struggle at any time, I just tell them to focus on their blessings.”
