CHENNAI: Gold price in Chennai fell by Rs 320 per sovereign on Thursday (December 4), continuing the ongoing trend of price fluctuations.

With this, the price of 22-carat gold stands at Rs 96,160 per sovereign (8 grams) and Rs 12,020 per gram, down by Rs 40.

On December 3 (Wednesday), gold had increased by Rs 160 to sell for Rs 96,480 per sovereign and Rs 12,060 per gram.

On Tuesday (December 2), the price of gold had fallen by Rs 240 to Rs 96,320 per sovereign (Rs 12,040 per gram).

On November 29, the price of the yellow metal was 95,840 per sovereign (Rs 11,980 per gram)—the highest price in November, a month that saw sharp fluctuations, with rates even dipping below Rs 90,000 per sovereign.
