A driver in Coatbridge has been banned for 18 months after he was caught behind the wheel while 16 times over the cocaine limit.
44-year-old Colin Edgar, who has a previous conviction for drink-driving, admitted being over the drug limit when driving on South Calder Way, Newmains, on February 3.
As well as the driving ban, he must also do 160 hours of unpaid community work.
Cameron Murdoch, prosecuting, told Hamilton Sheriff Court police “had reason to attend” the area and saw Edgar in the driver’s seat of an Audi Q2, Lanarkshire Live reports.
Ring doorbell footage showed him pulling up in the street and dropping off a passenger before turning the vehicle and stopping.
