Seth Amunrud grew up six minutes away from Worthington Arena with visions in his head of dribbling a basketball with “Montana State” stitched across his chest.
After spending two seasons at Dawson Community College in Glendive, where he became a junior college All-American , he transferred into the Bobcats program this past summer. Amunrud performed well in fall practices, getting ever closer to seeing a goal realized.
But then he stepped on a teammate’s foot in practice and missed about two months with an avulsion fracture in his left foot. Once he was cleared, the season had already started. Redshirting was an option to preserve his eligibility, but after teammates Cavin Holden and Christian Hodges suffered recent ankle sprains, Amunrud was called into action.
