Dehradun : Tourists from across India and abroad flock to Mussoorie, the queen of the mountains. However, traffic jams on the main Mussoorie road often dampen their enthusiasm. To ease congestion, the Lambidhar–Kimadi (LKD) Road, an alternative route to Mussoorie, is being widened from a single lane to a one-and-a-half lane.
Officials say the widening project will not be successful unless the irrigation department’s canal in Garhi Cantt Chowk, which serves as the starting point, is buried underground.
