A tragic incident occurred at Charmadi where a three-year-old child who had gone to a shop holding his grandfather’s hand was fatally hit by a car while returning home.
The accident took place at Beetige in Charmadi village of Belthangady taluk.
According to reports, the child, identified as Muhammad Hazirin, aged three, son of Siddiq U.P., a member of the Charmadi Gram Panchayat, had accompanied his grandfather to a nearby shop to buy snacks. While crossing the highway on their way back, the playful child let go of his grandfather’s hand and suddenly ran across the road.
At that moment, a car speeding from Charmadi towards Belthangady hit the child, throwing him a considerable distance. Though he was immediately taken to a local hospital and later shifted
