Srinagar, December 04: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today met with several delegations from different parts of Kashmir who apprised him of a range of pressing public issues affecting their respective regions.

The delegations raised concerns regarding the pending payments of contractors under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), noting that prolonged delays were creating difficulties for contractors and impacting the pace of ongoing developmental works.

They also sought clarity on the progress and bottlenecks related to the Lift Irrigation Scheme in Tral, a crucial project for local agricultural and horticultural needs.
