Northern Valley kicked off its season with a 7-2 victory over Parsippany Regional at MacKay Ice Rink in Englewood.

Jett Geraci led the way for Northern Valley with a hat trick, while Colin Karpati added two goals and two assists in the win.

Northern Valley jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period with goals from Geraci, Karpati, and William Park. Nicholas Fraga got Parsippany Regional on the board late in the period to make it 3-1.

Colten Lathrop also had a strong game, scoring once and assisting on three other goals.

Geraci scored his second goal of the game in the second period to extend Northern Valley’s lead to 4-1.

Fraga answered with a power play goal for Parsippany Regional, assisted by Robert Hemenway and Kaden Bland, to cut the deficit to 4-2 heading into the third.
