A registered sex offender from Connecticut has pleaded guilty in federal court to sharing child sexual abuse photos and videos on the dark web.

Rudolph Girdhari, 36, of Norwalk, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on Wednesday in Hartford federal court, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut .

Court records show that Girdhari was convicted in state court in May 2012 of second-degree possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, execution suspended after two years, and 20 years of probation.
