The Swedish Historical Society is set to host its annual Lucia Concert on Dec. 5, according to a community announcement.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted.

The concert will feature a traditional Lucia procession, candlelit choral singing and performances by the society’s Lucia Court. The event honors Saint Lucia, a symbol of light during the darkest time of the year.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to one of our most meaningful cultural events,” event coordinator Amy Ekberg said. “The Lucia Concert offers a moment of beauty, serenity and heritage that resonates with people of all ages and backgrounds.”
