Air travel across India continues to face severe disruptions as widespread delays and cancellations at IndiGo, the country’s largest carrier, deepen the airline’s ongoing operational crisis. In Kolkata alone, at least 19 cancellations and 154 delays were recorded in the last 24 hours, officials said. Dense fog, acute crew shortage and the rollout of stricter regulatory norms have compounded the crisis.

Flight operations at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport were heavily affected, causing major disruption through the day. As IndiGo handles nearly 66 per cent of flight operations at the airport, the cascading impact was significant.
