The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has approved $214.47 million in financing for Phase II of the South Sudan–Ethiopia–Djibouti Transport Corridor Project, a transformative regional initiative aimed at boosting economic integration, reducing transport costs, and opening new trade opportunities across East Africa and the Horn.
The concessional financing package includes: • $181.5 million in grants for Ethiopia

$29.71 million for Djibouti • $1.96 million for South Sudan
$1.96 million for South Sudan • An additional $1.30 million for South Sudan through the Bank's Transition Support Facility, which assists countries affected by fragility
