Iread with great interest the recent op-ed by Joe Kratochvil . And, while he makes some interesting suggestions for improving the lives of Evansville residents, his political party (Kratochvil was previously secretary of the Vanderburgh County Republican Party) has contradicted many of his ideas.

Every one of his suggestions would require additional revenue to accomplish. But yet, the Republican Party is against doing anything that might raise taxes.
