Review at a glance

If the late Tom Stoppard had written a dark queer love play it might have looked something like this. Jess Edwards has established herself as a great director - her production of Anoushka Lucas’s Elephant was a recent highlight - but her debut play shows that same super-smart, playful spirit in her writing too.

The setup is pretty straightforward, as two (unnamed) women meet at a private view of an art exhibition and quickly begin a relationship.
