Jimmy Thelin looked to the positives after seeing his Aberdeen side pegged back twice to draw 3-3 with St Mirren in an entertaining Premiership clash at Pittodrie.

The Dons had the better chances in the first half but were perhaps lucky to go in level at the break after Scott Tanser saw a goal ruled out for a foul on goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov.

The visitors took the lead from the penalty spot through Marcus Fraser, but quickfire goals from Dante Polvara and substitute Marko Lazetic had the Dons ahead.

Jonah Ayunga pulled it back to 2-2, but Aberdeen swiftly restored their lead thanks to Lazetic’s second which looked to be the winner before Richard King levelled in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
