The Department for Work and Pensions has been told to "drop" the state pension age back down to 60. A petition on the Parliamentary website calls on the Labour Party government and DWP to make changes.
The petition urges: " Instead of increasing the retirement age every two years it needs to stay at 60 years old to allow individuals to enjoy their retirement with the time that they have less
"I feel like this petition will be a right movement to do. Some people are only being able to enjoy their retirement for a couple of years before sadly passing away. If this petition was successful it could allow grandparents to be able to enjoy their retirement without the worry of getting up for work giving them the free life to able to see family more and to maybe live their life
