Puberty is the coming of age in any girl’s life and marks a major milestone. In general, a girl is expected to reach puberty between the ages of 8 and 13 years old, with the first sign for the majority being breast development. Sometimes, a girl child might reach puberty earlier than 8 years, and this is considered early puberty or precocious puberty. Other signs of puberty in girls will include:
Growth of pubic and underarm hair.
A height growth spurt that is very rapid.
