Sunil Jakhar accuses AAP of ‘Election Theft’ in Punjab, demands probe into leaked police audio

Chandigarh, December 4, 2025: Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar on Wednesday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of “openly misusing the police” to influence the upcoming Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections, alleging that the party was preparing to “steal the entire election” in the state.

Jakhar said AAP, despite being part of the Congress-led INDIA alliance at the Centre and accusing others of vote manipulation, was itself attempting to sabotage the democratic process in Punjab. He said this was the reason the BJP approached the Election Commission on Tuesday to demand full videography of the polls.
