The PDC World Darts Championship is going to stay at Alexandra Palace until at least 2031, but a move to a bigger room will see a huge boost in capacity.

The tournament has been held at the London venue since the 2008 edition of the World Championship and has been hugely popular.

Tickets are hard to come by for the sport’s biggest event and talk of the World Championship outgrowing the Ally Pally has been heard.

However, the PDC has both managed to stay at the iconic venue and increase capacity by moving into the Great Hall from the 2026/27 tournament onwards.

This will see each session boast a capacity of 5,000 from its current level of 3,300.

Over the whole tournament, that will mean an increase in capacity of over 70,000, the PDC has announced.
