Light snow showers and flurries will stick around until the late morning on Thursday, but the second half of the day will turn cold.

Temperatures will continue to fall Thursday afternoon with temperatures in the afternoon falling to the low 20s. As clouds clear, temperatures will plummet, dropping to the single digits Friday morning. Our forecasted low temperature of 8 degrees would set a new low temperature record for Friday, beating out the previous record of 9 degrees set back in 1991.

Friday remains colder with high temperatures peaking in the upper 20s with a good deal of sunshine, and temperatures will range from the mid to low 20s for Youngstown's holiday parade and light up night.
