Rhys Bernstein scored two goals to lead Livingston to a 4-2 victory over West Essex-Caldwell at Essex County Codey Arena in West Orange.
After a scoreless first period, Livingston broke through in the second with goals from Jayden Rogers and Bernstein, who was assisted by Zach Givner, to take a 2-0 lead.
West Essex got on the board late in the period with a goal from Dante Gallucci, assisted by Nick Zak, to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into the third.
In the final period, Livingston extended its lead with goals from Ben Diamond and Bernstein, who was assisted by Ryan Korn, to make it 4-1.
West Essex’s Carmine Bogert scored late, assisted by Max Clausi, but it wasn’t enough as Livingston held on for the 4-2 win.
Brody Teitelbaum made 13 saves in goal for Livingston, while Dario Gallu
