Mitchell Starc, who is leading Australia’s bowling attack in the ongoing second Test of the 2025-26 Ashes series against England in Brisbane, entered his name in the history books on Thursday (December 4) by becoming the first Australian fast bowler to take a six-wicket haul in three back-to-back Test matches. The legendary left-arm pacer finished with figures of 6 for 9 in the second innings of the third Test played against the West Indies in July 2025, and then in the first innings of the first Ashes Test against England in Perth last month, he picked up 7 wickets for 58 runs in 12.5 overs. On Thursday, during Day 1’s play of the second Ashes Test, which is being played with a pink ball under lights, Starc once again dismissed six English batters in the first innings.
