Justice BV Nagarathana warned against emerging trend in SC to toss out verdicts on change of a judge. It has sparked debate. Rule of law, constitution must guide judicial decisions, not judges’ personal views. They must sparingly invoke special powers under Article 142. Its overuse can lead to judicial overreach.
