Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Petronet LNG Ltd (PLL) have signed a 15-year binding term sheet for ethane unloading, storage and handling (USH) services on Wednesday, December 3.

The agreement, which will commence between October–December 2028 and run for 15 years, enables ONGC to reserve around 600 KTPA capacity at PLL’s upcoming ethane handling facilities at Dahej, Gujarat.

Under the arrangement, PLL will receive, store and handle ethane imported by ONGC or its subsidiaries, and redeliver it at the designated delivery point.

PLL is developing a 170,000 cubic metre ethane storage tank and building a first-of-its-kind third jetty at Dahej, capable of handling ethane, propane and LNG, expanding its portfolio beyond traditional LNG regassification.
