COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Two people are without a home after a structure fire Wednesday night in Colorado Springs.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), crews were dispatched at 11:30 p.m. to a fire at a townhouse complex in the 2300 block of Stepping Stones Way.

CSFD said crews arrived and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes. The two people inside the home escaped before firefighters arrived.

Neither were hurt, but both residents are displaced due to the fire. The fire department is working with the American Red Cross to help these victims.

“No injuries to any firefighters, lots of falls, lots of ice happening right now with the hose lines running and everything,” CSFD Lieutenant Aaron McConnellogue said.

“But everybody is okay at this point.”
