The last full moon of 2025 brings the year to a close with a bang. (Or at least a beautiful view.) It is part of an exceptional series of supermoon —three, so far—that have occurred over the past three months, with a fourth due in January 2026.

During a supermoon, the moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit, which not only makes it appear larger and brighter in the sky, but also increases its power of attraction in astrological terms—and with it, emotions and feelings. This explains the upside-down energies of recent months. As a bonus, the supermoon on December 5 2025 will be at an exceptional height—the highest since December 2006. We’ll have to wait until 2042 to experience such an extreme phenomenon again.
