Haveri: Forest officials have captured a leopard that had been roaming near agricultural fields in Kadur village of Rattihalli taluk, a presence that had left farmers in the area on edge for more than a month.

The animal was trapped in a field near a hillock in Kadur. Farmers had reportedly been reluctant to visit their fields in recent weeks due to repeated sightings of the leopard.

CCTV footage had earlier confirmed the leopard’s movement around the village. Based on the visuals, forest officers set up a trap in the area and succeeded in capturing the animal, bringing relief to the local farmers.
