Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in New Delhi for a two-day state visit, marking the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally received him at Palam Airport with a warm hug, before both leaders departed together in the same car — a symbolic gesture underscoring the strength of bilateral ties.
The visit is expected to focus on expanding cooperation in defence, trade, investment, technology, and healthcare.
President Droupadi Murmu will host a state banquet, while senior Russian officials and business leaders accompany Putin to explore opportunities in sectors ranging from pharmaceuticals and shipping to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
