Alex Bregman is expected to have plenty of suitors after him as MLB free agency stretches deeper into the offseason.
The 31-year-old Bregman opted out of his contract with the Red Sox earlier this offseason in hopes he’d land one more long-term deal. The veteran third baseman hoped for the same last offseason, of course, but ultimately signed a three-year pact which included opt outs after each campaign.
This offseason, though, appears to be headed in a different direction for the 2025 MLB All-Star. And The Athletic’s Jim Bowden believes the Bregman sweepstakes will be “must-watch” given that there are several teams who all could be in the mix.
