Darts ace Matt Clark has disclosed he was warned to 'rest or die' following hospitalisation with a potentially fatal blood clot. The 57-year-old thrower from Dartford was compelled to quit the World Seniors Tour after medics warned his life hung in the balance unless he transformed his daily habits.
Clark, who possessed a PDC Tour Card from 2003 to 2017, and again between 2019 and 2022, saw his finest World Championships campaign reach the last 32 in 2006 before Phil Taylor halted his progress. Following the loss of his Tour Card, 'Superman' switched to the WDF.
