Deepak Kandpal, hailing from a small town in Uttarakhand’s Bageshwar district, has today become a symbol of perseverance and hope for thousands of youths across India.

Born to a father who worked as a taxi driver and a mother who managed the home, Deepak grew up in modest circumstances. His family lived in a rented room in the town of Garud — far from luxury, but enriched by hope and determination.

Despite financial hardships, Deepak’s resolve to serve the nation was unshaken. He completed his early schooling at a local public school (up to class 8), then moved to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Gagrigole for classes 9–12. There, his academic excellence shone brightly — he finished class 12 as the district topper.
