A 38-week pregnant woman, who went missing last month month, was found dead just before Thanksgiving -- with no trace of her full-term baby among her remains.
Rebecca Park, 22, was reportedly last seen late on Nov. 3 in northern Michigan. The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office officially reported her missing on Nov. 4.
Now after weeks of searching, her mother and stepfather have been arrested and accused of the brutal murder of both mother and baby.
Massive search efforts began in the area around Nov. 4, with volunteers searching under the direction of multiple law enforcement agencies.
Police disclosed that Park’s cellphone had been found discarded along a two-track road in the Manistee National Forest, an area close to her mother’s home.
