Liverpool playmaker Florian Wirtz got closer to his first Reds goal on Wednesday night but was again cruelly denied. The £116million summer signing saw his late effort beat Sunderland keeper Robin Roefs and settle in the back of the net, but it was going wide before deflecting in off Nordi Mukiele.
